Real Life Experience: Migrating from WebSphere to JBoss EAP and adding value by automated deployments (Xplore Group)
In this session, Hermes de Backere and Tim Peeters will discuss the migration from IBM WebSphere Application Server to JBoss Enterprise Application Platform. We'll have a quick look at the architecture and the products used, including mod_cluster and JBoss Operations Network.
We'll zoom in on a specific requirement from the client to be able to do automated deployments on the new JBoss infrastructure. In today's landscape, releases are delivered on a frequent, regular basis. We left behind manual and semi-scripted deployments to integrate the customers' continuous integration environment, Maven repository manager and Subversion repository. We'll show you how you can lower operating costs and decrease the number of deployment errors drastically by eliminating inefficiencies
in the deployment process.
